Bioinformatics and Computational Biology is a rising area in the Computer Science Department at UIUC. We have just started an MS in Bioinformatics Program, and are actively hiring in the general area of
Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. (See CS faculty positions and IGB positions for more information.) With a $5M NSF FIBR grant (BeeSpace) and the campus wide bioinformatics iniative through the Institute of Genomic Biology, faculty and students are now actively doing research in several key areas of bioinformatics and computational biology.
We have a weekly Bioinformatics Seminar, a Bioinformatics Mailing List. Please click on either website to know more.
